Exactly two years after the sad incident that Martins passed, we held a novelty match between his friends in memory of him on March 8, 2022. This took place at Jabi football field, FCT, Abuja, at about 4 p.m.
We had a moment of silence in his honour, then donated two new footballs and football bibs to the teams.
The match ended in a 2-2 stalemate.
We are grateful to his friends who turned out and to everyone who contributed to the event’s success in some way.
